While I get that clowns like Jim Carrey and the other anti-vaxers are an issue, they're mostly being thrown under the bus to cover for the illegal invasion.

If the disease doesn't exist in a community, the relatively few number of people who refuse to get vaccinations aren't ever exposed. When new individuals who have not been vaccinated and a number of them have the disease or have been exposed are introduced into the community, the herd immunity previously experienced by the anti-vaxers goes away.

TL;DR: the infected illegal invaders are the problem, not the relatively few citizens who refuse vaccines.
