President Trump tweeted Saturday that Fox News analyst Andrew Napolitano met with him and urged the president to nominate Napolitano to the Supreme Court, as well as grant a pardon to one of the judge's friends.
Napolitano, a former superior court judge in New Jersey, currently works as a legal analyst for Fox News. In a pair of tweets Saturday evening following his campaign rally in Green Bay, the president accused the commentator of becoming "very hostile" after Trump supposedly turned him down for the nation's highest court.
"Thank you to brilliant and highly respected attorney Alan Dershowitz for destroying the very dumb legal argument of Judge Andrew Napolitano," Trump wrote.
"Ever since Andrew came to my office to ask that I appoint him to the U.S. Supreme Court, and I said NO, he has been very hostile! Also asked for pardon for his friend. A good 'pal' of low ratings Shepard Smith," the president added, referring to the afternoon host of Fox's newscast that has often been critical of the White House.
The White House did not immediately return a request for comment on when the conversation with Napolitano occurred, or to whom the Fox News commentator had supposedly asked Trump to pardon.
Trump frequently showers praise on Fox News figures that are seen as allies of his administration, including Dershowitz who has frequently defended the president amid the now-concluded investigation into Russian election interference and his campaign.
Napolitano is the classic example of a person who sold out for a steady paycheck. He does not have the character or gravitas to be on the SCOTUS.
I really dont see how any of the criticism you received was not adult. Even parents tell their kids to put on their underwear, so, obviously, you only received language grownup use, unless you can point to something, otherwise.
Your posts put you in the same category as I described. You seem neither adult nor conservative to me.
I suggest you think more deeply than you appear to.
President Trump has the uncanny ability to bytch slap the holy crap outta his distractors and make us laugh while he’s doing it.
Oh! So THAT’s why Napolitano is a major Trump hater. Romney didn’t get what he wanted from Trump, so he’s a hater, too. A bunch of little girls.
“Napolitano has made plenty of positive comments about the President too.”
Not for a VERY long time, however.
Digenova has my respect. I saw him rip into some Leftist talking head news bimbo who implied that AG Barr is a liar.
I value loyalty, and Digenova showed it in spades.
When I was TEN, maybe, I would have divulged personal conversations to get back at someone.
And my dad would have told me it was wrong.
But like I said, we’re in herd mentality again here, so everyone’s right, it’s hysterical and funny and great.
Herd mentality?
The facts regarding Napolitano are clear.
He attacks Trump at every turn and on every show.
Levin went after Nap yesterday, said is legal foundations against Trump are utterly lacking.
Try to keep up, you’re just incorrect. It happens.
he got a new friend
no, i think he’s light in the loafers
100%
sure starting to look that way isn’t it
Ya think so?

Napolitanos longtime friend James C. Sheil died on March 19, 2013.

We don’t need any more gentlemanly losers.
