Former Notre Dame Cathedral architect Benjamin Mouton in a live broadcast April 16 on the French TV network LCI:
When the Fox News Channel’s Shepard Smith hung up on French politician and media analyst Philippe Karsenty during live coverage of the Notre Dame Cathedral blaze, authorities already were speculating the catastrophe that gripped the world was caused by an accident.
Although speculation is the coin of the cable-news realm, an indignant Smith wanted nothing to do with Karsenty providing context to the April 15 fire – nearly 2,000 attacks on French churches in two years – that would suggest an alternative cause should be considered.
And, in fact, as Karsenty pointed out in an phone interview from France with WND, a former chief architect of the Notre Dame – whose analysis has been virtually ignored – believes the accident theory makes no sense.
Karsenty told WND he was “shocked” when Smith abruptly ended the interview.

Not even a dropped smoldering cigarette would have likely cause that blaze. Sure, the framing of the roof was very old wood, but it was OAK, and not pine, and it takes a LOT more to ignite oak than most other species of wood. For one thing, these were LARGE timbers, and a casual spark would just flicker and die.
So did Cavuto on Bill Donohue when he brought the same subject up.

Since the police shootings in Dallas Tx a few years back, we refuse to watch Smith on Fox. The mans is a liar and an extreme leftist so Fox News can forget us ever watching this guy. He hates President Trump and is disrespectful of our elected President.

Mentioned in the article was the age of the wood, and that it was become weathered to the point it would be very difficult to ignite initially.
I would suspect there is truth in that.
I will also say it is really a classless thing to have your crew smoking in such historic landmark.
Some people deserves to have their ass kicked.
I stopped watching after Tony Snow died. I miss Tony Snow, not Fox, especially now.
The main thing to worry about is the backlash by those evil Christians against poor innocent Muslims whenever some anonymous people do some undefined something.
And this fire did just that....hurt millions of Christians.

1. Architect Benjamin Mouton “commits suicide” with two shots to the back of the head.
2. French police suddenly discover that Mouton has committed a tax crime, a morals crime, or maybe both. Off to prison with him.
3. Mouton disappears while talking a walk near a river. French president Macron expresses his deep sorrow.
