BALTIMORE — The 11 News I-Team is raising new questions about Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh's money trail, which helped fuel her campaign victory in 2016.
This comes as Pugh remains on leave.

A big donation was reported to have come from a man who lived in a second-floor apartment in Fells Point. Campaign records show he wrote a check for $6,000 on March 15, 2016.
On Tuesday, the man told the 11 News I-Team by phone that he was a dishwasher for a restaurant in Little Italy, making minimum wage plus tips. When asked if he remembers making a payment to a political candidate in 2016, he said, no. When asked if he had $6,000 at that time, he said no and that he might have had $2,000 or $3,000, but never $6,000.

Pugh also said 100,000 of her books were bought by companies doing business with the state....but the book printer said they only produced 60,000.

I can’t help thinking that WBAL cares nothing for campaign finance irregularities or for the money laundering that Pugh was apparently involved in.
Something tells me that they are just helping to clear the way for whoever it is that they want to take over the reins in Baltimore. And their guy will just be another dishonest, power-grabbing DemocRAT who will do nothing to lift Baltimore out of the sewer.

It’s Baltimore Maryland there is no other crime other than from Democrats. The I-team must like a different corrupt Democrat who will be next in line. Why else would they bother to report it?

Been following this on radio WCBM in the early mornings.(Get it in my car but stream it at home.
Was surprised that the rats have seemed to have turned on her so quickly. Suspect they want someone who could better cover their tracks. Pugh got too sloppy and I suspect she rubbed someone important to that cabal the wrong way.

Unless he’s unable to read or doesn’t check *any* of his bank statements, he did know about it.
That Debit Card would be linked to a bank statement and whoever wanted the money to go to Pugh would have had to make the deposit prior to it being ‘contributed’ to Pugh’s campaign fund.
That is why her name is now spelled “PEW”!

Totally agree. As I posted on another thread about this story, I suspect this “news” organization is going after Pugh only because they are pushing for some other corrupt DemocRAT to take over as mayor.
Be nice if they investigated BEFORE the election.
All that matter to them is that a Republican doesn’t win.
