Gore’s mission at UNLV: Inform and inspire action on climate change

If you think it’s hot in Las Vegas now, Al Gore says, just be glad it’s not the year 2100.

Gore told an audience at UNLV today that if global warming continues at its current rate, the number of days above 95 degrees in the valley will increase more than 50 percent by that year - from 75 now to 132 then.

And despite the claims of deniers who say such changes are merely the result of natural shifts in the weather, Gore said the cause was undeniably the greenhouse gases that are causing earth to absorb an amount of energy equivalent to 500,000 Hiroshima atomic bombs exploding every day.

“We have to get busy making changes,” he said.

Referring to his opening theme - that global warming boiled down to the questions of should we, can we change and will we change - Gore closed his presentation with an affirmational note.

“We have to change. We can change. I believe we will change,” Gore said.

One reason for his optimism: Activism among young people like many of the people in his audience. He noted that 17 Young Republican groups on campuses have sent a joint message to the Republican Party threatening to withdraw from the party unless it changes its platform on renewable energy.

“The new, rising generation is demanding a cleaner future,” he said. “These young people are serious about this, and they ought to be. Young people traditionally have the energy and drive, and on an issue like this they realize they’ll have to live with the consequences for much longer, so they’re taking the lead.”

“Use your voice,” he said. “But most importantly of all, use your vote. It’s important to change the light bulbs, but it’s much more important to change the laws and policies.”

If you think it’s hot in Las Vegas now, Al Gore says, just be glad it’s not the year 2100.

Note that the disaster date has been moved out from 10 or 20 years to 3 generations from now. This enables a combined pitch of "do it for the children" and "massive multi-generational investment required."

60 miles north of DeBalsio City and we run the heat now (for at least the last ten years) from late September into May now but “The Earth has a Fever”.

Idiots.

Algore’s past predictions haven’t come true so looks like he’s moving his timeline to long past when he can be proved a failure again.

Betcha Al flew in on his private carbon producing jet and then rode to UNLV in a carbon producing motorcade!

Lining Al Gore’s & others pockets is exactly what that message was about. There is a lot of good honest & useful information out there about “climate change” & renewable(?)energy sources that I don’t know why people don’t read up on this before wasting their time listening to Gore’s spiel on the subject. One good source is CFACT. When you get the facts on this “renewable energy” stuff, it’s not hard to figure out that it is unworkable financially, but would make somebody else wealthy selling others on this idiocy.

Earth is a little less than 200 million square miles. That means a greenhouse gas "Hiroshima" occurs every 400 miles every day.

This guy is so stupid he doesn't have the common sense to know that his wild exaggerations don't pass the full of sh!t smell test.

The brainwashing is complete.

Whenever I see a thread related to “climate change” in any way, the first thing I do is scroll down to post #1 to verify that it is a Goebbels-approved thread.

I always feel so gratified when I see his approving glare from the screen looking back at me.

It means I can TRUST the posted material as being 100% goreball warming authentic.

Exactly what made me question this and start doing some research...

1998 I lived here, (a few years in Louisiana in between) temp got up to 106 to 108 for several days, worst heat I’ve ever seen. Normal hottest day of the year then was 104 with the occasional 105 thrown in to keep you guessing. The past 10 years or so, the hottest I’ve seen is 102, maybe 103 now and then.

At the same time, winters the past 6 years have been more harsh than anyone I know remembers. Record low temps and snowfall all over the north, earlier cold spells than usual and staying cold into April, low temps breaking 100 year records, polar ice caps recuperating, and Gore still blithering about global warming??? Last year the first cold spell was about 3 weeks early. The usual is Halloween, this time it was 1st week of Oct. I was still running a heater into late March, early April.

When he originally stared this crap Gore noted that about 7000 polar bears remained...only 30,000 of them are still around...

As I’ve been telling people for about 4 years...look up Maunder Minimum, Dalton Minimum, Solar Minimum, Mini Ice Age, Climategate.

And think about a parka...
