I wonder if his sentence length has something to do with the 2020 election cycle and keeping him under wraps until it is over?

So after 50 days, the DNC can open again more hearings.
This is never going to come to an end

He was reckless:

He should have molested 20 school-girls, beheaded a drummer, maybe home invade and beat-up some old, helpless people.

Shoulda stuck with the innocuous stuff.

So Julian gets tried and convicted with two weeks of being dragged out of that embassy.
How long did it take for American courts to get Nidal Hasan to trial? He was charged with killing 14 enlisted Army men at Fort Hood, Texas. I think it took at least eight years.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange was sentenced by a British judge on Wednesday to 50 weeks in prison for skipping bail ...

Sounds more like a 'contempt of court' thing - which our judges can do quickly too.

He was wanted in Sweden on rape charges that were later dropped (though they’ve recently expressed interest in opening the case again).

Sounds like a bunch of democrats, with charges always hovering in the background even though they have nothing solid to go on. This is not justice.

Given where he has been, I would say time served.

The Deep State wants Assange dead and/or in prison for reporting/journalism & reporting on documented war crimes.

President Trump should get him out of the pokey or Trump may well lose reelection.

They say the wheels of justice grind slowly, but that’s primarily in the United States.

Ain't that the effin truth. We have REAL law breakers here (mostly working in DC) that will never see the inside of a jail cell or the hangman's noose. Crying shame what this country has become.
