Do you think it’s idiotic to wear a MAGA hat or have a Trump bumper sticker on your car? Can you question a liberal point of view in work or a public forum without fearing for your job or your safety? How far can you be pushed before you start pushing back? And keep in mind that all of this harassment is coming from people who currently don’t have control over your government. How do think they will behave when they do get power?
I have a MAGA hat, I sometimes where it, I do not fear for myself or my job. My 11 year old son has one, wears it as well. We’ve heard almost universal compliments for our open support. Sure, I don’t live in feces drenched San Francisco, but I’m not going to move there just to where the hat there.
Also keep in mind “all this” derangement is coming at a time that is objectively very low stress conditions i.e. the lights are on, and everybody has a full belly. This is important and can’t be overemphasized. I really can’t believe what I’ve been seeing in popular culture these last several years.
Can you imagine any sort of hardship - pick one - whether by man made or natural disaster, resulting in actual deprivation of any kind, for a period of days, weeks or even months?
