You got that right. They think they’ll be one of the 1% with a corner office, driving a jag, and eating steak dinners because they were for the regime all along and got in on the ground floor. They don’t realize that they’ll be the first to get knocked off. In a communist/socialist regime, you’re just another mouth to feed. Why reward your loyalty or pay you when they can have you whacked? That’s how they look at it.
