An immigration plan being drafted by the White House is likely to include a provision that mandates, nationally, the E-Verify system that prevents businesses from hiring illegal aliens over American citizens.

Ignore a lot of the disinformation that will surround this before it comes out. It will reflect what Trump has been saying all along.

Why can’t we use E-Verify for voting?

I think eVerify has been on the books for a long long time.

Nobody has enforced it.

The court will have a very hard time stopping something put into law by Congress, and the SCOTUS will strike down any intervention.

Side note: there was a gal many years ago that ran Obama’s name through E-Verify, and the return data was not at all in favor of Barky being legit. She got into a heap of backlash IIRC.

Insist on it! I have been for years.

Do those things and illegal aliens will deport themselves and pay for the trip.
Motivation is a powerful force.

Put Illegals at the back of immigration line behind those trying to do things lawfully.

I am trying to lawfully get my wife a visa, we went from a 5 month wait to now looking like a 7+ month wait.

I am all for that and always have been. Of course, at this point, none of the illegals would live long enough to get in. But I'm good with that. Frankly I've been leaning hard towards the opinion that anyone caught here illegally should be permanently barred from applying for visas or citizenship.

Don’t hire any company that is undercutting citizens using illegal immigrants. That might mean paying more for the new roof, lawn service, concrete job, brick work. That’s ok. The long term impacts are important. The biggest challenge is the consumers not buying the services being offered.

The only reason we don’t have it already is that Bush League Republicans have wanted to keep the Cheap Labor Express running.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do not allow them to join ANY line that doesn’t start back in their own country.
Rewarding them only gets us more of them.
President Trump needs to shred W Bush's executive order. Religious denominations are paid ‘tax payers’ cash to make a profit off human trafficking...
The ‘holy’ people need to pay up for their charities. Stop charging ‘we the people’ for fake charities that are flush with cash from US.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On January 29, 2001, President George W. Bush signed the first two Executive Orders of his Administration, creating the White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (OFBCI) and similar offices within five Federal agencies. The President's goal was to eliminate government barriers inhibiting partnerships with faith-based and grassroots charities and to strengthen the work of America's armies of compassion in tackling society's toughest problems.
You know what Japan does?
You know, that place that feels like a NATION, where people aren’t just selfish mercs unconnected to one another, but where there does remain the tiniest sense of community..?
They require the FOREIGNERS to carry Foreigner Identity Cards.
Going for a walk? Gotta carry it? Popping down to the first-floor convenience store to get a rice ball? Gotta have it on your person. Buying a bike, checking into a med clinic..? Gotta SHOW it.
If you don’t, they’ll take you to the police station for questioning and even if everything checks out, you can get a stiff fine for getting caught without it.
WHY every time sometimes needs to be changed do REAL Americans need to suffer...?
Same thing as car insurance in Calif:
The really eggregious offenders were illegal aliens but instead they punished EVERYONE for the crimes of a tiny subsegment.
Yet here again they’re pulling the same thing.
I was the e-verify officer for a small company starting in 2000 or so.
It was voluntary and a lot of paperwork. About the only advantage was it covered you from liability for hiring an illegal.
You couldn’t run someone until after they were hired. I think you had a 30 day window. You could not run existing employees. If they came back flagged then that person had 3 days to tell you if they would contest it. Then they had 30 days to supply supporting documentation. You could not fire them for (almost) any reason during that time.
We found out, from a different source, that one person we hired was using a false SS#. We found out about 6 months after he left.
The Obama judges have had no problem whatsoever in stopping laws from being enforced by the Trump administration. It has happened over and over again over the last 2-1/2 years. It is rather likely though, that eventually the S/C will overrule the Obama judge eventually.
I agree. What’s sad is that it takes so dang long.
Some of these things need a SCOTUS ruling quickly.
The ones where judges intervened are just terrible rulings. I can’t see them standing up to review.
