Hillary could get her husband elected President, but getting herelf elected president is another story. A friend of Bill believed that Hillary reminded Bill of her bitchy grandmother and that was an attraction. Besides, I bet Hillary could spit some of Bill's girlfriends after he was done.

He is that, it’s true. But I don’t believe for a single second that he ever saw anything in her or that he pursued her. She identified his addiction and made herself his supplier. It’s no more complicated than that. He is, as you say, self-serving. She aided and abetted him keeping her eye on the prize that she identified that she wanted when they were both in law school.

There was an article in the National Review some time ago titled Hillary Clinton, Misanthrope. I found it thoroughly substantiating to my hypothesis.
