Bring manufacturing back to America, President Trump.
For real.
Well, if you like Chinese goods, you lose.
It’s good to play hardball on this....China’s playing the same nonsense they always do in their dealings but they’ve never had to deal with THIS President on trade matters.
Trump has talked about bad trade deals for DECADES. Going back to the early eighties even, he was talking about how America was getting screwed over and sold out.
Willie Green, if he is still a FReeper, would be in heaven right now.
People say that China will retaliate by devaluing the Yuan.
Even Trump seems worried about a devaluation.
So what’s that about?
I don’t get it!
That’s like a store puting everythiing on sale... they make less! Sure, they could “make it up in volume”- but they won’t!
Trump is doing what he can.
Get Congress to fix the idiot laws that *still* prevent much manufacturing from coming back. Trump cannot wave a magic wand and make laws passed by Congress and signed by past presidents go away.
Exactly.
Won’t bother me one bit.
I don’t throw my money away on Chinese crap, wouldn’t consider eating food that came from the PRC, so what do I care?
Everyone should do themselves a favor, pay a little bit more for much better quality.
The Chinese are only familiar with presidents who fold and capitulate. They are probably plotting to collude with his 2020 opponent.
This stalling pattern is typical of the Red Chinese, they think they can play rope a dope with PDJT, hoping that they will have a soft pantywaist Donk as president in a couple of years.
ONE MORE REASON TO SUPPORT PRESIDENT TRUMP’S RE-ELECTION!
The Chinese call him Donald the Strong.
He is respected and feared by the Chinese.
C+The Chinese government will always cheat. So we should just put on tariffs and forget about it. 25% is too low. We should make it 50% on everything. Then if you don’t want to pay the tariffs you can make your products somewhere else or here. Its a great way to lower our debt. China takes our money and builds their army and pollutes and builds islands.
I agree with you.
But I am ready for 100% tariffs, to START with.
Heck even higher, I think.
America needs to be for America, STOP selling out to China.
For real.
Plus our economy is the only self-sustaining economy in the world. Meaning that we can build or grow all of our food and products here and it gets consumed here as well. I think if this happened, our national debt would probably be eliminated in 5 years.
“...China takes our money and builds their army and ....”

Also, china takes our technology, our designs, our processes, our knowhow, our developments, our research, our advanced concepts, etc - i.e. our everything.
Only 50 yrs ago they could not produce a decent hammer.
You may have a valid point. The Chinese can raise their prices 25% and still come out ahead. I've purchased cables from China; they would cost $10 to $15 each here, but I've bought packages of 20 for a few dollars. They could raise their prices to cover tariffs and I would still be getting units at a fraction of what they cost here.
Maybe President Trump will ratchet up the tariffs over time to really hurt the Chinese.
Nevertheless, I think what Trump is doing is right, even though it may negatively affect some corporations.
You have to start somewhere.
Move production back home or at least to a friendly ally of the US.
Why would they do that ? They got paid a lot of money by foreign corporations to make those idiot laws in the first place.
