They had some thing like fifteen years from with
Postcards from Buster where a character was visiting a real-life Vermont gay couple. This is not new for them.
Question now is when they'll announce one of the long-time characters is transitioning.

Is there going to be a show in 6 months showing the character sleeping with other men and being physically violent with his partner? While this may not be how every gay marriage turns out it certainly is a high percentage.

When I was a kid, Arthur’s biggest issue was being self-conscious of wearing glasses.

While I’m only slightly familiar with the show, I know it has both anthropomorphic and non anthropomorphic characters.His classmates include anthro dogs (walk upright, dress, speak) but he has a pet dog named Pal.
Similar to the Disney universe...Goofy and Pluto and both dogs but Goofy speaks, dresses, drives etc.
Mixed species eh...oh well it’s only a cartoon so don’t expect reality.
