That’s what my mother always said: “They are always looking to recruit.”
I should note my mother wasn’t a particularly worldly person. In fact, I would guess that, during her full life of 84 years, she knew nothing about the more lurid aspects of the gay lifestyle, e.g. bathhouses.
And I certainly wasn’t going to inform her. There are some things you just can’t discuss with your elderly parents. Heck, with all the smut on prime time television, a quiet evening in the living room can easily become embarrassing.
But on this one thing she was absolutely right.
