This whole thing suggests and may even confirm that there is no such thing as juvenile supremacy.

There were gangsters coming an going to jail for 6 to 12 months in the pizzeria I worked in when I was young.
No one took that amount of time seriously.
The lifers were taken seriously for a few weeks. Then forgotten about.
Life is hard all over.
She’ll probably get community service, which means speaking at some glitzy Hollywood Climate Change dinner or something.

I suspect money and knowing the right people has helped people in courts for a long, long time.
When leftists get caught breaking the law or cheating or any of the various unethical actions they do every day, they immediately break into their weaponized victimhood routine to try and get out of their predicament.
This is just more victimhood hysterics that the left is famous for.
Never, ever have sympathy for a leftist.

So silly, her daughter would have been so happy at a school that would have accepted her based on her real abilities and accomplishments. After success at that school, perhaps she might have gone on to a better school if she wished. And that wonderful little school, somewhere in the country, would have benefited so much by these celebrities taking an interest, so many of which have had to close their doors. What a shame!
Her greatest crime is that she bought a slot at the school that a more deserving student should have had; that is the most grievous crime she has committed IMO.
This case as well as the other related cases have generated a lot of publicity so they’ll serve as a warning to others.
At the same time, think about it. You bust your ass all your life going to the right places, staying the right things to the right people, move to Hollywood and actually get work, become fabulously wealthy so your kids can carry on without worry. Really, which of us wouldn’t want this. Then you look at your teenaged kid (that was raised by Mexican and Philippino women because you’ve been working on movies) and realize the reason you did all that isn’t making it. Is so lazy and stupid there is no way they are going to make it. It must be horrifying. To be like a Marlon Brando and realize all your kids are nuts.
In Season 3, episode 1 of Desperate Housewives, Huffman bribed a little league pitcher to let her unathletic son get a hit. When the bribe was exposed and her son kicked off the team, she bribed the coach to let him back on. She is no bribery virgin.
It’s fun to watch hypocritical liberals cry.
The next group of folks in the US that should be in jail are coup members, who are STILL involved in trying to remove President Trump from power. That really is more important to fast track than the college scandal is.
These parents deserve something, a lot of something, as punishment for what they did. But none of them acted on their own. It would be more satisfying for them to have a short jail sentence and having to pay full four-year tuition, room and board for 20 (or so) students who are truly qualified, but couldn't afford to attend without forever debt!
Whatever happened to "let the punishment fit the crime"?

True. All of these parents did it for themselves, not the kids. They want to be able to brag to their friends that their kids go to such and such schools. They want to be able to attach a Harvard or Yale or Georgetown sticker to their car so they can drive around feeling superior to those whose (probably smarter) kids go to the state college. It's an elitist thing. I see it every day in the world in which I find myself.
