“Please explain them to us. “

1. They have killed 700 US service members in Iraq, a war in which they were not a principal.
2. They bombed the US Embassy in Beruit, killing over 200 Marines.
3. They captured over a dozen US sailors in international waters and kept them over a week.
4. They invaded US Territory in Tehran (Embassy) and kept dozens of US Citizens hostage for 444 days.
5. They have threatened, and practiced, to close the Strait of Hormuz to international shipping, through which 40% of the worlds oil passes. Upon closure the hit to economies in which the US Economy is inter-reliant would be enormous. Even Jimmy Carter, the peacenik would have gone to war over that (Carter Doctrine).
6. They have sworn to destroy the US and is in the process of developing nukes and missiles toward that end.

To name but 6.

And all with impunity.

“I voted for Donald Trump because I was tired of Ivy League globalist pr!cks running this nation’s foreign policy. Anyone who still thinks the invasion of Iraq was a good idea shouldn’t even be allowed to clean the toilets in the White House.”

Generally, and in most cases, I agree with you. However, in the case of Iran and Norklandia I make an exception.

1. They have killed 700 US service members in Iraq, a war in which they were not a principal.

What business did the United States have in Iraq? If the Chinese invaded Mexico, do you think we'd have something to say about it?

2. They bombed the US Embassy in Beruit, killing over 200 Marines.

What business did the U.S. Marines have in Beirut? And wasn't this the attack where the suicide bomber was able to drive a truck loaded with explosives through the guard post because the Marines assigned to guard the place were not allowed to have ammunition in their guns?

(P.S. -- I know the answer to the second question is "Yes." I was in high school at the time, and it's one of the primary reasons why I refused to pursue an appointment to one of the U.S. military academies. The idea of putting my life in the hands of some incompetent @sshole in Washington never appealed to me after that.)

3. They captured over a dozen US sailors in international waters and kept them over a week.

Neither one of us has any idea what really happened there -- do we?

4. They invaded US Territory in Tehran (Embassy) and kept dozens of US Citizens hostage for 444 days.

That was 40 years ago. How many countries has the U.S. invaded around the globe -- either directly or through covert military operations -- since then?

Are you saying the U.S. should go to war over someone else's oil supplies?

6. They have sworn to destroy the US and is in the process of developing nukes and missiles toward that end.

They have? It's a wonder I even manage to sleep at night over this.

Maybe that's true for you. For me, principles don't have exceptions.
