[2017] Mueller’s Role in Delivering Uranium to Russians Raises Questions

New American ^ | August 2, 2017 | Steve Byas

While the revelation of a secret meeting involving Robert Mueller in the delivery of uranium to the Russians, by itself, does not prove anything of a criminal or unethical nature, it does raise questions that merit an investigation.

After all, when Mueller was FBI director under the Obama administration, he was trusted enough by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to carry out this mission.

If it was a diplomatic mission, why was the FBI director involved?

And if it was a law enforcement mission, why was Clinton involved?

Gohmert: Mueller “Covering” Involvement In Clinton-Uranium Deal While Trying To Have A “Coup” Against Trump

Posted By Ian Schwartz
June 9, 2018

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) said Saturday special counsel Robert Mueller is trying to cover up his involvement with the Uranium One deal that benefited the Clintons while “trying to have a coup against the president.”

REP. LOUIE GOHMERT (R-TX): Robert Mueller has done more damage during his 12 years as FBI director than any other — probably all directors put together...

He has wasted money right and left.

Amazingly, he’s hired people like [Andrew] Weissmann that worked with him and [Rod] Rosenstein in investigating the Russian illegal efforts to obtain our uranium which they quashed information in order to allow the sale to go through so that Hillary could get the $145 million for her foundation.

So it is really outrageous. He’s covering for himself at the same time he’s trying to have a coup against the president.

Andrew Weissmann

Andrew Weissmann headed the Obama administration’s Department of Justice Criminal Fraud Section. Weissman was knowledgeable of Deputy Assistant Attorney General Bruce Ohr’s collusion with Christopher Steele and Glenn Simpson and did not report the illegal activity to his superiors as departmental regulations require.[1] Weissman is now lead prosecutor in the Mueller investigation.[2] Weissmann is suspected in illegal leaks from the Mueller probe.[3]

Weissmann donated $2,300 to the Obama Victory Fund in 2008, $2,000 to the DNC in 2006 and at least $2,300 to the Clinton campaign in 2007. He was at Hillary Clinton headquarters on election night and is part of the anti-Trump Resistance.

Uranium One

Main article: Uranium One bribery scandal

Vadim Mikerin, director of Tenex, plea agreement shows that the Obama DOJ’s Fraud Section was then run by Andrew Weissmann.

The Justice Department instructs prosecutors that when Congress has given a federal offense its own conspiracy provision with a heightened punishment (as it has for money laundering, racketeering, narcotics trafficking, and other serious crimes), they may not charge a section 371 conspiracy. Section 371 is for less serious conspiracy cases. Using it for money laundering — which caps the sentence below Congress’s intent for that behavior — subverts federal law and signals to the court that the prosecutor does not regard the offense as major.

Yet, that is exactly what Rod Rosenstein’s office did, in a plea agreement his prosecutors co-signed with attorneys from the Justice Department’s Fraud Section. (See in The Hill’s report, the third document embedded at the bottom, titled “Mikerin Plea Deal.”) No RICO, no extortion, no fraud — and the plea agreement does not mention any of the extortions in 2009 and 2010, before Committee on Foreign Investment in the US approved Rosatom’s acquisition of Uranium One. Mikerin just plead guilty to a nominal “money laundering” conspiracy charge, insulating him from a longer sentence. Thus, he got a term of only four years’ for a major national security crime.

He knew it BEFORE accepting the appointment.

He may well have been involved in the coup’s information-laundering process from the very start, given his pre-existing relationships to many of the key players.

I’d even dare say it’s likely this is the case, as it makes his appointment as SC a lot less arbitrary-seeming of a choice than it was.

why did RR appoint him?.....knowing Mueller's conniving criminal ways......protecting his Wall Street buddies, letting the Toon Witch walk free, keeping innocent men in prison in the Whitey Bulger era KNOWING that they were innocent....

Knowing that he was an arch enemy of Trump.

and yet he was appointed...and he proceeded to hire every Toon rat lawyer around....

its an American nightmare...

Here is the closed door Ohr testimony to Congress from August 2018 (Excerpt from an always EXCELLENT Sara Carter article written in January 2019: Stunning: Ohr Testimony Reveals Top DOJ Officials Briefed About Steele Before FISA:
"...Ohr’s testimony also had a stunning revelation that Andrew Weissmann, who was then head of the DOJ’s Criminal Fraud section and now Deputy Special Counsel for Robert Mueller, was also briefed by Ohr on his meetings with Steele. Those briefings took place during the summer of 2016, shortly after Ohr had met with Steele. The testimony, which has not yet been made public, was authenticated by sources from congressional testimony to SaraACarter.com.

Under intense questioning from former South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy, Ohr named the officials he had spoken to that summer.

“I spoke with some people in the Criminal Division, other career officials who dealt with some of these matters,” Ohr told Gowdy.

“Any names?” asked Gowdy.

“Yes,” said Ohr.

“So, I was about to tell you,” Ohr said. “One of them was Bruce Swartz, who is the counselor for International Affairs in the Criminal Division; a person who was working with him at the time, working on similar matters in the Criminal Division was Zainab Ahmad; and a third person who was working on some—some of these matters I believe was Andrew Weissmann.”

Like, Weissmann, Ahmad, a Pakistani American lawyer, also has a senior role as a prosecutor on Mueller’s team investigating the Trump campaign and the Russia.

Gowdy also asked Ohr about how he first met with and delivered information regarding Steele to the FBI.

“How did you find out to meet with? Who did you call to find out,” Gowdy asked during the hearing.

“After the July 30thmeeting with Chris Steele, I wanted to provide the information he had given me to the FBI,” said Ohr..."

I also think his wife, Nellie Ohr, is up to HER neck in this whole thing. I believe she was one of those "Contractors" mining the NSA Database that Admiral Mike Rogers became aware of and subsequently shut down access to all contractors in April 2016.

Knowing Trump was wire-tapped and surveilled from the beginning, they knew all along what the truth was. They knew it before they started. The “investigation” was cover for the illegal wiretap and illegal spying. It would not have been necessary had he lost.

But had he said so and declined to investigate, the left would have been all over him. Rock, meet hard place.

The mission was to hobble, to disable the Trump administration.

Towards that end, plenty of Republicans would join, such as Ryan, McCain, Flake, later Romney, and others.

I am glad sights are on Mueller now, but wasn’t Nunes scraping with those early on who suggested it was all a con?
