As I said, I believe this is a prelude to him bolting the GOP to run for President, so reelection to Congress won’t matter. He just needs to take a small amount of Republican voters with him to deliver the state to the Dems. You disagree with that, but it won’t take that much in Michigan.
As for the article, a lot of those guys were nutters to begin with.

A lot of Mid East Christians tend to be Left Wing/pan-Arabists on issues over there. This means they’ll side with their “fellow” Arabs and take positions that are opposed to US interests.
