McCarthy dismisses Amash impeachment comments: 'He wants to have attention'
Fox News ^ | May 19, 2019 | Ron Blitzer

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy does not appear to be taking Rep. Justin Amash's recent tweets about President Trump very seriously, claiming that the Michigan Republican simply "wants to have attention," and questioning his GOP bona fides.

Amash tweeted his take on the Muller report on Saturday, "This is exactly what he wants, he wants to have attention," McCarthy said on "Sunday Morning Futures." He went on to express doubt over Amash's Republican leanings in general.

"You've got to understand Justin Amash. He's been in Congress quite some time. I think he's asked one question in all the committees that he's been in. He votes more with Nancy Pelosi than he ever votes with me. It's a question whether he's even in our Republican conference as a whole."claiming that President Trump "engaged in impeachable conduct," specifically obstruction of justice, and that Attorney General Bill Barr "deliberately misrepresented" Mueller's findings.

McCarthy calls it, Amash wants attention, but that is no excuse for a R congressman to attack the president. What a lowlife jerk.

No McCarthy, Amash's family owns a tool business in China. That's why he wants impeachment - Trump's tariffs are losing him money!

Just another corruptocrat who cares more about money than about the office he serves.

McCarthy calls it, Amash wants attention...

You and the headline writer should comment on all of McCarthy's quote. McCarthy said a lot more than "Amash wants attention".

The irony is that I probably agree with Amash far more than I agree with McCarthy. Amash usually votes against the GOP in Congress to call them out for their fake conservatism.

Fine. But you don’t see him running around campaigning for fiscal responsibility and then voting for bloated House budget bills, do you?

Sirhan Sirhan is a “Palestinian Christian” too. An Arab is an Arab.

Back in 2010, when America first wasn't a popular idea, Amash's company wasn't afraid to brag about selling Chinese tools, even in Michigan.

Amash is a PALESTINIAN, but not a Muzzie. He’s evidently some sort of Christian who’s family was sponsored by a church here.

“So how can you slam a company that is importing the tools that the U.S. wants to buy?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I buy tools all the time, have for many years. I don’t WANT to buy Chinese tools but I have no choice. Most tool companies have been bought up and are made in China.
Many of the tools you see for sale by different manufacturers are actually made in the same Chinese factory and simply labeled differently.
I have found it necessary to divorce myself from “organized religion,” because most “churches” today have been subverted in one way or another. They make a mockery of Christianity. They are “businesses” bent on income.
Amash is Palestinian. Trumps pro-Israel stand and friendship with Netanyahu May be the real reason, and Amash doesn’t want to be called anti-Semitic
