Julian Assanges belongings from his time living in the Ecuadorian embassy in London will be handed over to US prosecutors on Monday, according to WikiLeaks.
Ecuadorian officials are travelling to London to allow US prosecutors to help themselves to items including legal papers, medical records and electronic equipment, it was claimed.
WikiLeaks said UN officials and Assanges lawyers were being stopped from being present. Lawyers said it was an illegal seizure of property, which has been requested by the US authorities. The material is said to include two of Assanges manuscripts.
Assange was dragged out of the embassy last month and is serving a 50-week prison sentence for bail violations. He faces an extradition request from the US next month.

The behavior of a totalitarian society,
I thought Assange had a self-destruct dead-man program that would either destroy all his information, or dump out “enlightening” information.
Yep.
Which US prosecutors...the good guys or the creeps that tired to take Trump down?
You seriously think there is a difference?
99% conviction rate, 97% if there is a trial.
Kangaroo much?
The CIA wants him dead.
He knows the Russians did not give him the DNC e-mails.
Seth Rich did.
That’s a can of worms they want kept shut.
Sounds like a Fourth Amendment violation: “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”
The thing is, his defense team/attorneys will not be given access. Who’s to say US won’t tamper with, and insert some damning “fake evidence” in there?
If I see the US say, “Assange’s Computer shows he plotted w/Russia to murder Seth Rich” I will know my Country is totally down the toilet.
Certainly resembles it.
I don’t think Ecuadorian territory (embassy) is covered by the Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution. Especially since the material was seized not by U.S. officials, but by Ecuadorians. What they do with it after that is their business. That doesn’t mean that I like the idea.
who got the cat?
and didn’t he have a doomsday dump trigger or whatever he called it? or was that bluster?
*** who got the cat? ***
Cat left the Embassy last October w/ friends of Julian. He is safe, and well cared for.

He has insurance files which have two sets of numbers to unlock. IIRC, the last one “unlocked” was 2016.
