Don’t see a bunch of right to life folks outside the vasectomy clinics do ya? Do I need the “/S”
This was some years back, but I remember that the two researchers of the history of American abortion (I know Marvin Olasky was the pro-life one, I think James Miller was the pro-choice one) agreed that when abortion was legal up until “quickening” in the US in the mid 1800s, 1 in 4 pregnancies were aborted, but that when abortion was illegal in the early to mid 1900s, 1 in 10 pregnancies were aborted, returning to the 1 in 4 figure in the late 1900s, and hovering somewhere around 1 in 5-6 today. Illegalizing an action lessens its frequency; it may raise the amount of the action being done illegally, but not to the level that it was when it was legal.
Women who wish to have their reproductive rights all to themselves need to realize something:
Preventing conception wears many hats:
Birth control pills are really very cheap. In today’s world, about $22 a month & available without going to the doctor -—OTC. When I was making $1.30 an hour, I needed to pay for a doctor’s visit AND pay for the pills-—which were somewhat more expensive then.
Condoms are available everywhere-—use 6 or more if you are having aggressive sexual relations.
Get your tubes tied...it can be reversed.
Get a complete hysterectomy if you wish to be very sexually active...and you also get the bonus of not having uterine cancer later in your life. !!!!! A Two-fer !!!
Quit telling the world that you need to have the power to control your own body-—by KILLING a conception/fetus/baby AFTER you have been totally irresponsible about preventing conception.
Every single one of you are being total hypocrites.
