In total, investigators said they identified six emails sent by DeVos on private accounts, including five that involved official agency business. The inquiry concluded that there was no evidence of "active or extensive" use of DeVos' personal accounts. When I read the headline, I was prepared to excoriate DeVos for rank stupidity after the example of Hillary Clinton but the above quoted portion of the article makes it quite clear that nothing amiss really occurred.

Another little tidbit for the Dems to go nuts about, not knowing the difference between using a private email account and having a private email server.

So, this is only an issue if Madam Secretary is a Republican?
To: colorado tanker
I would like to know the circumstances behind the 6 emails sent. I’m sure there’s a very simple reason behind it.

Does her position in Education have the same policies/procedures re security and confidentiality as the Secretary Of State? Considering their duties and disciplines, I’d expect the rules to be much different.
To: zeestephen
I didnt realize that the Secretary of Education had access to sensitive state secrets. Another compelling argument in favor of shuttering.

Was any national security at risk?
I sincerely doubt it.
Six emails for a domestic, do-nothing agency is insignificant.
Tens of thousands of emails for an agency involved with state secrets and foreign intrigue is another matter entirely.

So, much ado about nothing.
She clearly wasn’t using her own private server and email account to hide the fact that she was sending classified materials, as we know happened with a certain prominent democRAT.

Hillary set the bar for emails from a private email. you have to break 30,000 to be considered.

Devos use of her private email for top secret correspondence should be dealt with a maximum, what?! Oh never mind.

She knows the true number of Affirmative Action teachers and students.
Carelessly releasing that would be a death penalty case.

No message is ever gone unless you wipe it out....like with a cloth.

Education Secretary Betsy DeVos has sometimes used her personal email accounts for government business and has not always properly saved the messages,...So? Goose! Gander! AP didn't care back then! Why care now!
