President Trump on Monday night spoke about political elites and illegal immigration -- two themes he hits quite often. Two themes that help define the presidential race now in progress.
Kirsten Gillibrand is in that race and is not just a candidate, but really a living metaphor. Gillibrand is someone who has lived a remarkably fortunate life. Until about 10 years ago, she was a member of Congress. Virtually nobody outside the mostly rural 20th congressional district in upstate New York had ever heard of her. She was considered a thoroughly average member of Congress, maybe a little below average.
And then one day, Hillary Clinton decided to run for president and Gillibrand hit paydirt. She was plucked from obscurity and handed one of the safest Senate seats in America.
Overnight, Gillibrand became a national figure without even having to win an election. Amazing. It was the political equivalent of inheriting a billion dollars. Maybe not surprisingly, Gillibrand's views changed accordingly. She soon adopted the politics of the trust fund left. Before long, there wasn't a fashionable opinion she didn't have on any topic -- guns, abortion, immigration -- you name it. As her friends in Aspen and Martha's Vineyard became more decadent and more contemptuous of the country around them, so did Kirsten Gillibrand.
This past weekend, when she appeared on "Face the Nation," Gillibrand was arguing against continuing to operate the United States as a sovereign country. "Let everyone in," she demanded. "Detaining anyone is immoral."

The Republicans had a chance to take that seat but they didn’t fight hard enough as usual. If all Republicans supported Trump and his/our agenda they would be in the majority. If they had built the wall before the 2018 election we wouldn’t have Nadless as the head of the judiciary committee and Maxipad Waters as head of the banking committee.
Actually Tucker got one thing wrong. Southa.pton is a destination for illegals. They work in the motels, redtaurants and resorts. They work in the North Fork wineties and farms. But thsy are not exactly welcome. The locals are trying to get the LIRR to run many more on & off season trains from places like Central Islip so they do not have to find Hamptons housing for the illegals.
Gillibrand is the one saying she wants to move refugee families into cities like Buffalo and Syracuse and Rochester, and Albany.
She lives in her insular rural community and she has no problem with overwhelming already depressed (Democrat-controlled) enclaves.
She can play morally superior while she destroys the cities she named. Her and her family will never be impacted by the consequences.

There is ample evidence that president wannabe Sen Gillibrand's father worked for the NXIVM sex cult in Albany, NY.
Gillibrand's father, Doug Rutnik, was NXIVM's attorney for four months in 2004, paid $25,000 per month.
In 2004 Gillibrand left her NYC law firm to work in his Albany office, the period her father was working for NXIVM.
Watta coincidence?
Gillibrand endorsed Eric Schneiderman for NYAG. Schneiderman later investigated Nxivm.......
then he suddenly closed the case BUT nobody knows what happened to the evidence collected.
Was there a Gillibrand/Schneiderman quid pro quo deal?
