Full Title: Democratic Disconnect: While British Voters Flock to ‘No Deal’ Brexit Party, PM May Offers Second Referendum

While May’s comments merely open the way for Parliament to vote on whether to have a second referendum, the political arithmetic in an overwhelmingly pro-EU House of Commons is such that if given the opportunity, Parliament will almost certainly impose a second referendum on the country. The offer breaks PM May’s previous comments that a second referendum would “break faith with the British people”, and would “irreparable damage” to faith in democracy.

Theresa May Surrenders

Good tactics. Just keep having more referenda until you get the answer you want. Like vote recounts in Florida.

Why doesn’t Theresa May have Joe Biden call Margaret Thatcher for advice?

In the end there will be real brexit and we will wonder why all this was necessary. Imo.

At this point the terms of a second referendum likely will not include any no-deal Brexit option, meaning that the terms will have been unilaterally changed from those of the first referendum by the government before the vote even begins. We’ll know by this time next week if this is even politically viable, but I’m thinking that horse is deader than Seabiscuit.

LOong after the voters made clear their preference for Brexit, the powers at be made it known that voters choice mean nothing to the elites.

It’s like their are ruled by plutocrats.

It’s what the Deep State has in store for America.

A second referendum before implementing the first? Those who wanted out of Europe had to wait 40 years for a second referendum.

Theresa May cannot be removed by a vote of No Confidence?
She will still be ‘quietly negotiating’ by the time Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor has left home and found his own American Duchess.

No friggin do-overs! The people have spoken.

I thought the left wing blathered about "democracy" all the time.
Except "it isn't democracy" if Trump wins or Brexit wins, is it?

Keep voting until you win, then stop voting.

It’s the Soros way.

Wow, she is the absolute frickin’ worst. This is how I thought the McCain presidency would have gone for us. A political narcissist with no respect for the voters or their party base who will just do whatever the hell they want to do, damn the consequences. The only thing worse about McCain is he would have started a war or two along the way.
