School apologizes for censoring students' MAGA hats out of yearbook photo

A high school in Littlestown, Pa., has apologized after the yearbook club blurred out two teenagers' pro-Trump apparel in a yearbook photo.

"The mistake was not noticed during the editorial preview process prior to print. We apologize on behalf of the yearbook club. It is not the policy or practice of the district to improperly censor speech," Littlestown High School said in a statement to local Fox News affiliate WPMT.

The apology comes after 16-year-old Jeremy Gebhart said he and his friend had their "Make America Great Again" hats blurred out of a yearbook photo taken during the school's spirit week.

"I just think he wants to help our country and I think he is," Gebhart said of wearing the hat to support President Trump. "They, like, blurred our hats out."

The district admin should be made to feel the pain.

Do that and the school site admins all over the country will be pulled up short in their shenanigans with a hard suddenness.

School site admins are a dime a dozen and easily replaced.

Go after the district admins.

The ‘mistake’ was not noticed during the editorial preview process... Because blurred out things in images are just so difficult to detect.

So were the students responsible for this censorship and their faculty adviser punished in any way? NO? Why not? Worthless apology!

Of course, it was not a mistake, it was deliberate.

My kids’ yearbook this year, for which I paid $125, included about 10 pages of news “year in review” photos at the back. Lots of small photos, including photos of both Barak and Michelle Obama, and pics of Prince Harry’s wedding—but not a single photo of Trump. In 20 years when my kid looks at his yearbook it will as if there was no President Trump. A whitewashing of history. Propoganda. Like Goebbels. Chilling.

"The mistake was not noticed during the editorial preview process prior to print."

Why? Who overlooked it? How do you plan to hold that individual accountable? How can we be sure it was not "overlooked" intentionally, and that the individual responsible won't exercise a similar suppression in the future?

Your apology is not enough. Action must be taken.

That's exactly what they're doing. Trump's page in history will forever include statements to the effect that he was an illegitimate Chief Executive who stole an election.

Stalin could only dream of such power as these cretins are exerting over the minds of our children today, and future historians tomorrow.

"It is not the policy or practice of the district to improperly censor speech " As if the only 'proper' censoring the district would do would be incitement to violence; yeah, right.

Loser Congress will predictably not exercise its express 14th Amendment (14A) power to make punitive laws that discourage state actors from abridging constitutionally enumerated rights, 1st Amendment-protected free speech in this example.

From the 14th Amendment:

Patriots need to elect a new patriot Congress in the 2020 elections that will not only promise to support PDJT’s vision for MAGA, but will also promise to exercise its 14A power to discourage state actors from abridging constitutionally enumerated rights.

Remember in November 2020!

MAGA!

How is it a mistake? Someone deliberately photo shopped the picture. Who did it?

I would sue. At least demand a refund for the cost of the yearbook that they ruined deliberately.

What everyone already knows: The photos were actually blurred during the editorial review process.

Apologized, my gluteous maximus. The caps are STILL blurred out aren’t they?! “Missed it in the editing process,” did they? Bullshirt! The editing process was where they made sure they WERE blurred out. Common bahstids! That’s the kind of crap that causes youths to become cynical, and lower their morals. If the “authorities” do it.....why not me?!

Too little, too late. An apology won’t magically fix it.
