What's the problem with e-cigarettes? Most people migrate from tobacco products to the far safer e-cigarette. As far as I know, smoking e-cigarettes ("vaping") is about as harmful as drinking coffee ---- unless the vaping oil contains THC.

He’s a victim of family residual brain washing.

“What is wrong with the people of Utah? There is no excuse for that clown being in office.”

He and his family have always been big wheels in the Mormon Church. At one time, his father, George Romney was one of the Mormon Church’s 12 Apostles. Nothing else is really relevant here.

He’s planning the 1986 Olympics all over again.

It’s interesting that Romney seems to have no suspicions whatsoever that his campaign was also spied on, when it is now undeniably clear Trump’s campaign was.

I would be willing to bet they spied on his campaign also, but he was never much of a threat. His campaign was so bad it appeared intentional.

Yeah but wouldn’t you be curious if you were the candidate... I mean, they spied on the next guy, and he didn’t run THAT bad a campaign compared to McCain - if only FL(<1% away)/OH(3%)/PA(5%) had gone the other way, he’d have been President.

Could things like his campaign strategy being known in detail and in real-time by the opponent have made the difference? You only need a 2.5% shift of the vote from GOP to Dem in those three races to change the outcome.

Remember the “47% comment” video? Pretty convenient for Obama’s campaign, wasn’t it? Did it alone move the needle enough to get Obama re-elected?

Kinda sketchy how it allegedly surfaced, if you ask me - especially since the journalists involved are running anti-Trump propaganda on Spygate and immigration in the pages of the NY Times these days...

Absolutely. That’s why the Watergate burglars did what they did.

Is Mitt one of thirty children from his dad’s four wives? Was Mitt born in one of those Mormon colonies in Mexico? Did his dad run for POTUS in 1968?

".... Romney is McCain’s replacement...."

IOW, Romney has taken over the official role as GOP backstabber.

Am SOOOO disappointed in Romney. And am SOOOO grateful he never became president. Was he a plant so Obama could overpower him? At any rate, maybe it’s just hard to think up quick responses when you’re working with an already skewed mind. Plus he doesn’t have a sincere bone in his body.

After six years, you will be able to put his accomplishments on a 3x5 inch card.

If you are talking about his accomplishments, then a 1"H x 1.5"W sticky note will do just fine.

To understand Romney one must understand his religion. Mormonism teaches that certain highly evolved souls become gods of local realms (solar systems?) upon their earthly demise. Romney aspires to just such a position. He is a god in waiting, practicing the vaunted position to which he believes he is destined.

The author sure is a windbag. I spent almost 2 min skimming it and all I saw was blather.

Many of us find the author's blather to be penetrating, insightful, and wise. Try reading carefully with a less blather seeking eye. Or not.

The loser nixed Herman Cain’s appointment. Mitt will never be a Herman Cain. Mitt is too principle-less.

NO senators should ever be president.

Most of them have never run an organization except for their own campaigns (obama). The best choices for President come from governors and like types.

By and large, the public agrees. The only senator ever to defeat a governor or sitting president was Warren G. Harding, who defeated the governor of his own state (Ohio) a century back (that was when Wilson’s wife was de facto POTUS, and the country was spring-loaded to vote for change).

VP is also not an executive position, tho - it is actually the role of political heir of the president. Very few sitting VP’s have been elected POTUS; it takes a very strong POTUS to make the public want to elevate his political heir to POTUS (e.g., Reagan and Andrew Jackson).

The Constitution sets the minimum age for POTUS at 35, but in fact no POTUS has been really close to that minimum. I would argue that the minimum for POTUS should be 45 - and the minimum for any other elected office should be 35. Along with term limits and the abolition of pensions for elective office, that would help establish that “public service” does not belong in scare quotes.
