Maybe the most exciting Indy 500 I’ve ever seen. Down to the wire.

Pole sitter Pagenaud’s skillful racing was amazing. Rossi was also amazing. Will Power, Newgarden, all still in the mix right up tot he end. Really good stuff.

What a spectacle. Lots of fun.

Penske’s got it going.

That’s great, I need to get back into it some day. I raced with Jr once. I also raced with Eury Jr, and a couple truck drivers whose names I don’t recall. I am surprised Denny Hamlin is not on that list, he credited his first Pocono win to sim practicing.

well that list was from 2006 I think- so Denny mighta signed up after that- And yup- pocono is a bit tricky- took me awhile to get the markers for the corners down so i didn’t overshoot or undershoot the corner entries-

A Few sim drivers have taken to the track in real life- and I’ve watched some get a chance to go right from sim racing to testing a nascar ontrack, and they stated that nearly every bump on the real track was very much like the sim track- They stated they knew what to expect, where to expect it- and how to deal with it- thanks to years of sim racing

it was a very good race- lots of ‘edge of the seat’ moments- Rossi was a madman- passing people against the wall- that aint easy- just a small tire scrub on the wall woulda ended his race- it was insane- but he pulled it off- he was a man on a mission-

Very good race- felt bad for those that wiped out near the end-

Above is a pretty dumb movie that I found after Tim Conway passed away the other day. “Dorf goes racing”. But there is a section in the movie where all the famous race drivers of the day are interviewed about having him in the race.

Richard Petty, Harry Gant, Geoff Bodine and a host of others I don’t recall (starts at 12:23). That part was pretty funny. “Dorf!” He shouldn’t be any ****** near ****** on this ***** race track. He better stay the ****** clear of my ***** car.”
