Ginsburg’s dissent was not met well by Thomas, who said that it “makes little sense” and “lacks evidentiary support.”

How does the legal reasoning compare with previous arguments? I would bet these are being written by legal aids.

“Justice Ginsburg does not even attempt to argue that the decision below was correct,” Thomas said in his opinion. “Instead, she adopts Chief Judge Wood’s [who wrote the federal appeals court ruling from the 7th Circuit] alternative suggestion that regulating the disposition of an aborted child’s body might impose an “undue burden” on the mother’s right to abort that (already aborted) child.”

Cut and paste judicial ruling.

I couldn’t agree more, she’s too far gone to realize she’s gone.

Sounds like Ginsburg would be happy if the states all provided free transportation to and from the abortion clinics, maybe a celebration dinner afterward, a private nurse to stay with the not-mom for a day or two. Just to be sure that the states are not “interfering”.

“lacks evidentiary support” - what an intelligent mind (Justice Thomas). What’s the retort? There isn’t one because his conclusion has the evidence and morality supporting his decision. Her only response is undo burden on the mother? The baby is already aborted and dead!

From the article: RBBG-”A woman who...terimate(s) a pregnancy is not a “mother”.”

Thanks, Ruthie old gal. Now the “life of the mother” arguments have been gutted.

regulating the disposition of an aborted child’s body might impose an "undue burden" on the mother’s right to abort that (already aborted) child.

"Undue burden"? Dear Lord! That's language reserved for fundamental Constitutional rights like the right to free speech and the right to keep and bear arms! This witch thinks the right to butcher your baby is a fundamental Constitutional right? These people MUST BE DESTROYED. Or we won't have any rights anymore.

Ah, I gotta read the full article... I foolishly assumed that ‘trading barbs’ meant verbal disagreement and mutual disdain.

If they were written, then yeah, it could just be staff pretending that she is still extant.
Much like notes written by ‘staff’ kept McCain ‘alive’ long after he assumed ambient temperature.

Thomas clashed with an RBG clerk who wrote the opinion. Nobody has seen this woman for months.

You picked up on it. She’s either dead or far gone and some millennial numbskull is writing her opinions. It’s all to keep the seat until they get a Dimm president. If proven, it’s one of the biggest criminal actions in American history. Up there with President Edith Wilson.

When are they going to bury/cremate the old, baby-killing Gin-soaked-bug?   (She zoomed past "elderly" a long time ago, and it seems, by the look of her, that she must have stumbled past "dead" already too!)

A solution would be that the “mother” be given the aborted child in a container and make it her responsibility to dispose of it.

“After which, we need to put some sort of limit on the court term of office...
not sure quite what would work best? but letting someone like Ruth keep haunting the court year after year after year ....growing more and more senile or just plain crazy...”

Well, FDR came up with a plan. For each Justice over a certain age, he’d be allowed to appoint another to lighten the load. Even Dems at the time couldn’t buy that. The Founders in an attempt to keep politics out of the Judiciary, decided on lifetime appointments. Perhaps not their wisest move.

Even if an amendment putting a limit on judicial terms were to be ratified, I doubt it would effect judges/Justices already serving, so any reform would take a really long time to make a difference.

When Ginsburg dies, maybe her children will toss her remains in a dumpster

If they sent her to the "other" Washington (state), they could have her composted.

I think at this point Ruth isn’t writing anything. She’s having a good day if she reads the summary and comprehends part of it.

OK, yes, I know what I’m hoping, but has anyone actually SEEN this woman alive in the last few months, or are her opinions merely written statements?
