Since at least the 1950s, the government lies to us constantly. They lie for fun, for profit, to cover their crimes. They removed the prohibition on aiming propaganda against the US people.
They lie when the truth would fit better. They lie more than a woman of reproductive age. They lie with a smirk, knowing that we realize it’s a lie.
If you think back on any government announcement from the last 70 years, it’s actually pretty hard to find any that are NOT lies.
And now... F-18s are up against some superweapon that they cannot stop or understand. And their first thought was “wow... we better let the American people know about this right away”.
Laughable. They wouldn’t tell us if a 50 mile wide asteroid that would end all life was headed to earth in 3 months.
Every form of government in the US since then has been nothing but a palace guard for the National Security State - until Trump.
Frankly, I’m surprised the President hasn’t yet been the target of some “lone nut” like Oswald, Bremmer, Ray, or the countless myriad “school shooters” we read about every day.
