If he’s so articulate with his thoughts, then he should back that up with action by voting correctly.....
it’s kind of like someone articulating the dangers of drug addiction to a kid, but then going in the bathroom himself to shoot up.
it’s what dershowitz does in the voting booth that counts, not his great harvard legal mind.
> its what dershowitz does in the voting booth that counts
Not really. His state is totally uncompetitive. More important is how he influences other voters in PA, FL, OH, WI, etc.
I’d disagree. His one vote is just a drop of water in an ocean. His words, however, have far-reaching consequences. When I hear those G-d-damned idiots in Congress or CNN, or hear of someone getting assaulted or chased out of a restaurant on account of their political affiliation, or a speaker shut down on campus, I despair of humanity. That Dershowitz speaks his mind and speaks it well, and dares to go off the reservation, and doesn’t resort to cheap name-calling or rhetorical overkill to stifle dissent gives me hope, even though he votes wrong and often is wrong, however articulate. He at least is engaged in dialogue instead of screeching. My father, as left wing as he was, was similarly engaged, at least some of the time. We’re in the age of antifa and snowflakes. When Trump wins in 2020, it’s going to get worse. When you’re in the dessert, you take your oases where you can find them. Dershowitz lately has been good, at least relatively. He cares about the law, and he’s appalled by what’s going on in the legal community, as well he should be.
