I have heard that property taxes were low in KY, but dang!!!!

My property tax bill is 20x more than yours, but TX gives with the one hand of no income taxes and then takes with other hand of high property taxes, plus other crap fees here and there on your insurance, utilities, and of course, sales taxes.

Makes me want to think hard about retiring in Kentucky, even though my property taxes are only eight times that amount and vendors from New Jersey and New York tell me what a bargain we are getting . . .

Where do you live? It is about $1400 yr. plus for a 1000 sq. ft. house & small lot where I live.
