Cheating on your wife should be grounds for her divorcing you and taking all your money. Would you also be in favor of the converse, where her cheating on him results in him getting custody of the kids plus all assets? If not, why not?

Look, when you get married you promise to stay faithful to that person. If you won't keep that promise you deserve to feel the pain of your bad choice. It is not a mistake. It did not "just happen".
Your spouse may choose to forgive you for the sake of the children. That is between you two.
