One thing I learned from someone older many years ago: women really want male attention. If you give them that you are ahead of the game. You can’t take them for granted or let that slide.
Zig Ziglar said some men target a married woman and give her attention and exploit anything wrong about the husband in order to get her to have an affair. Creepy. He said never assume other men don’t envy you for your wife.
Norman Vincent Peale said in a book: keep giving all the little kindnesses and special considerations all your life-—don’t assume the age 20s courtship is over and you can drop it all. Never take her for granted. He was married for decades.
I am thankful to God I found true mutual love and have been blessed with my precious wife since 1973.

My advice, focus on escalating closeness.
Avoid self-centered women.
Find a woman that prizes affection over attention.
Men, you have to be available for that affection, many are not.
And cheer up! Don’t get bummed until you’ve been treated worse by better women.
