ARE YOU TOO BUSY FOR GOD?
This means we must commit ourselves to hearing the Lord's voice. How else can we know and do the will of our Heavenly Father? It means that we have a particular commitment to the God-ordained transformation that needs to occur within us so that we may reflect the King of Glory's character. When we decide to be open to the Lord of Heaven, He transforms our lives, and we experience a quietness in our spirit, a confidence in our heart, a dogged determination in our mind, and an increasing faith in our soul. Why not ask God to help you determine whether you are the person He wants you to be? After all, if you are too busy for God, then you really are too busy! God will provide us with the strength and courage we need to confront and overcome anything that comes our way. So....embrace God's love a-new today, and Be Happy!!

Hey Kathy!
Boy was over last night for dinner and hanging, always fun.
Today I went up to his place to help sand the back deck for a refinishing project his Mom has going.
What's up with you this weekend?

Hope you get your rain on time. The USA seems to be having issues getting rain from the flooded areas to the “in need” areas.

Happy sanding.
Lying low and being a slug. Major knee pain yesterday and walking iffy. Not a fun evening. Ice and pills and lying down. Being really careful today.

Howdy, radu!
Hope you had a great day at the event in town. Was it rainy again today? Here it was just hot. 99 and dry. Blech.

Howdy, Kathy.
The meeting went really well this evening. Turnout was larger than expected but fortunately, we had enough food for an army. Very little was left over.
We’ve gotten a NICE amount of rain so far this weekend and it’s raining now. It didn’t rain a drop all afternoon which was nice.
Did you get much rain overnight?

Howdy, LUV.
Yes, it was a good time at the meeting.
The rain held off all afternoon and evening but started up again a few minutes ago. It was fairly cool until the sun came out late in the afternoon, then it was a sauna outside.
I feel for ya with your high temps. Not fun at all. :-(

No fun and the heat makes me irritable. I don’t even like myself. LOL! Glad you had a good time!
We were supposed to get some rain today, but they lied. However the high on Monday is only supposed to be in the 60s, and I hope they haven’t lied about that!
I’m glad you got more rain, but it was nice that it waited till the meeting was over so it didn’t keep people away.

Dang, if they ARE right about Monday's high, that'll be a drastic change! I hope they aren't telling y'all a story about it.
I haven't checked the rain gauge tonight but we got almost an inch this morning before I woke up. I'd say we're well over an inch now and it's still raining a bit. The corn is going to be extra happy.

God used the occasion of Shavuot (50 days after the Passover during which Jesus sacrificed on the Cross) to bring an audience of many earthly nationalities of Jews to the apostles, who were gifted with praising the Lord in the earthly languages, spoken by this audience, that they did not know.
This presaged how the gospel message was going to go out through the entire world, first to the Jew then to the “Greek” (gentile).
When modern Charismatic churches praise in tongues, this worldwide reaching aspect of the will of God should be in the forefront of the minds of all who witness it. And when non-Charismatic churches read the passage, this should also be true of the minds of all who hear the passage.
Acts 2 is there to show us that the gospel should be preached throughout the world in whatever manner the audience can understand.

When you do have to walk, remember to walk to the glory of God, and it will be more bearable.

Amen: being too busy for God is being too busy, period.
Those who build on the Cornerstone “shall not be in haste.” The speed of our lives is often based in worry and fretting, rather than in passion towards a goal.
