Will Trump’s 2020 campaign play for Oregon, California, and other Left-wing Democrat disasters?
The National Sentinel ^ | 6/11/19 | Jon Dougherty

As president, Donald Trump no doubt gets all the free advice he can handle about ‘how to win’ in 2020, though obviously, he’s got his own track record and credentials after pulling off a reportedly ‘unlikely’ victory against Hillary Clinton in 2016.

The victory, the president likes to say, was his and that of his campaign team. They read all the right tea leaves, and besides, POTUS has an instinct for connecting with a majority of Americans.

That helps explain why his campaign is making serious plays for deep blue states like Oregon and lighter-but-still-blue states like New Mexico, Minnesota, and New Hampshire: POTUS may sense now is the time for the GOP — his GOP — to make inroads into states Republican Party elders have simply written off.

Go for it. He’s not going to carry California. But any efforts which help the moribund GOP in California can only help build for the future.

It’s hard to believe that places such as Orange County, CA, were once so strongly Republican. Today, all of the Congressional districts in Orange County have Democrat congressmen.

Winning those states? Hell no.

Using them as an example? Sure. By all means, hang California’s craziness around the Democratic Party’s neck. Ask them when they’ll start pushing for taxpayer-funded health care for illegals like California Democrats are now doing. It’s inevitable they’ll start doing it one day, they’re just not quite there yet.

Maybe fundraise in CA, but don’t waste time campaigning there.

2020 campaign? He needs to get into campaign mode now, hitting the issues hard. Personal attacks like “pencil neck” will get him nowhere.

He should make a play everywhere. That’s how you win.. not this stupid Carl rove thread the needle nonsense that they have been doing for decades now.

With that said I doubt you will see them flip CA or NY..

But maybe other blue states aren’t as blue as they seem.. maybe they have large disenfranchised voters who stopped voting when the D party went too far left for them than he can get... just like he did in the rust belt.

If those states weren’t rigged I’d say go for it. It would be like trying to win Philadelphia. Robot voters.

Today, all of the Congressional districts in Orange County have Democrat congressmen.

The chickens of illegal aliens, homeless and grifters coming home to roost. Plus ballot harvesting.<>Most of my wife's family live in western San Bernardino/eastern LA county still. We can't even bear to visit there anymore over what it has become

Why?

So you can be entertained?

Its June of the year before the election, and he has no idea whom will be his opponent. And the public is little paying attention.

So why not use up your best rhetoric now, because no reason at all?

Let these idiots fight it out. He can poke at them from Twitter for cheap.

Trump needs to listen to the best advice then do whatever his gut tells him which is exactly what he will do. He will say outrageous things and all the effete DC Republicans will cringe and hide their faces but what he does that seems to be random will work out the best. If Republican candidates run with him enthusiastically they will increase their majority in House and Senate.

All that, of course, depends on an election that is as "honest" as the last two. That won't happen. The last two were trial runs of overt chicanery in test markets to see how much the SocialDemocrats could get away with. They learned that the sky is no limit and they will act accordingly. The SocDem cities will provide enough unicorn votes to overcome Republican majorities in their states and it will all be accepted as just "tough luck" by the Republicans.

Absolutely. We need to be on the offense in blue states. You had better believe that the Democrats are working tirelessly to flip Texas blue. Eventually, they will succeed, and we will be toast unless we take some of their states.

He should go after New Jersey. Hillary only won 55% of the vote here with the insanely unpopular Christie still in as governor.

Now, the insanely unpopular governor is Democrat sanctuary-state, high tax idiot Phil Murphy. Since he won, the Democrat state party leadership stopped talking to him, the unions hate him, the people hate him.

It will rattle the race if Trump makes a big play for the state, acting like he knows he'll win it.

Like the country, the Dem strength lies in a few urban pockets. Depress that vote with an all-white or half-gay ticket, and Trump's got a shot.

Like in 2016 when he was told to not try for Pennsylvania, Michigan or Wisconsin?

Glad he didnt listen to that nonsense either.

“What the hell do you have to lose?”

I’ve been assured that Oregon is too smart to vote for Trump.

Orange County was rolled over by Ballot Harvesting and all the usual fraud mechanisms in general use by the SocialDemocrats.
