A miniature version of the scenario that you describe is already happening in New Hampshire.A few years ago (can't recall exactly when) when the Rats controlled everything (Governor *and* legislature) they passed "Same Day Registration".

That means that anyone can show up at a polling place on Election Day,and without showing *any* proof,can claim to have just moved to the state and they're given a ballot.Given the state's proximity to a million drunks,junkies and Maoists in Massachusetts it's easy to picture busloads coming up I-93 on Election Day.

Several Republicans have specifically claimed to have lost close elections thanks to that blatantly fraudulent legislation.

Michigan voters passed no excuse needed to vote absentee ballot for elections this past year. Michigan SOS, AG and Governor all Dem controlled for next election.

Toss in gerrymandering lawsuits by Dems, League of Women Voters to favor Dems.
