They may be revolting but not nearly enough, loud enough or hard enough. I’ll call it a revolt when the politicians who exceed their power, talk to loud or too proud are drug out into the streets and beat to bloody pulps.

E.g. Colorado legislators who unilaterally change the way their electoral votes are to be pledged. How dare they usurp the votes of the people in that way!

In some cases they're "revolting" over idiotic things.

In France, for example, the "Yellow Vest" protest groups are filled with people who are demanding shorter work weeks, new laws requiring their private employers to give more paid vacation time, etc.

There's something abjectly pathetic about a "peasant revolt" among people who get six weeks of paid time off, and they're demanding eight.
