Unless you believe, as I do, that George Will has been a con-artist his entire career.
Consider this. Do you ever remember Will making a clear conservative point in a story or commentary? Sure, he starts his commentary with a provocative statement that sounds conservative, but he invariably muddles the point and doesn't close the argument. He rambles on, usually making no sense.
And that was what he was after! George Will is the Jeb Bush and Mitt Romney of the national press corps -- the designated argument loser who feints at making a conservative point but never seriously challenges the opinion of his Elite masters at Washington Post and ABC.
He's been there all these years to make you think there's a balance in the news. IMHO.
