Paul Manafort’s messages with Sean Hannity were made public revealing often bitter exchanges about Robert Mueller and Hillary Clinton.
Hannity had regular conversations with Trump and was also a client of Michael Cohen.
“Great show tonight,” Manafort wrote to Hannity in one exchange. “You are so important to saving our country.”
“Hillary belongs in jail” Hannity replied. “Witch hunt!”
Manafort called Hannity’s show “powerful,” adding that it helps “keep my hope and sanity.”
The text messages spanned 2017 and 2018, while Manafort was under indictment had been sealed until a judge ordered them unsealed Friday.
“Time to say F u and go to war,” Hannity said.
“Yes,” Manafort replied.
“War, that will happen now,” Hannity said. “Then they will get Jared and try to make Potus explode. Maximum damage to the country. Deep state wins”
Manafort asked Hannity to help promote his GoFundMe for legal defense but Hannity said it could be problematic for Fox.
They both slammed former Attorney General Jeff Sessions as “worthless.”
Both expressed sympathy for Michael Cohen, who was investigated and imprisoned after being targeted in Mueller’s witch hunt.
Hannity messaged “Michael is a total mess.”
Manafort replied, “This is tough stuff they are doing to us, I know exactly what he is going through.”
