I remember when Pluggs had a welcome dinner for the Press when he took over the Vice President’s mansion. Showed them all the “used to be” secret passage way to safety we probably spent millions upon millions of dollars building for the Vice President.
Disinformation is always a useful tactic, especially when you are surrounded by leakers and liars. All Presidents have to play a role at times, this one is just very skilled at it.
Of course Trump’s justification of the pullback was not possible. That’s because the true reason can’t be revealed. Biden should be aware of the flow of intelligence going to the President. What Biden won’t reveal is such intelligence is so sensitive that what it reveals can’t be disclosed.
I am sure President Trump received intelligence that told him the course he was going was a bad one. Perhaps he got information that a trap was set with the incident with hopes that Trump would fall for it. Giving the true reason for his pullback would jeopardize the nature of the intelligence he is in touch with. Because Trump’s justification is so out of step with reality, I think it sent a message to Iran that we are on to them.
