Check that, it says there is a low chance an FIV+ cat can pass it on to another cat UNLESS there is a strong likelihood for fighting that would result in deep cuts with other cats.

Yeah. The FIV mother doesn’t fight, so shouldn’t be a prob.
I don’t have her vet records. If she got the FIV vaccine as a kitten, it would explain the positive test.
Mothers don’t pass it in utero.
