McAleenan allegedly leaked a nationwide Immigration and Customs Enforcement raid to the media last week, forcing the administration to cancel the extensive undertaking after months of planning.

When Jared Kushner forced out Chris Christie and put himself in charge of transition, the die was cast. A 35 year old liberal Democrat, of questionable loyalty to the President and to the country, has made t impossible for Trump to carry out his policies in the face of entrenched opposition from those who would have to carry out the President’s orders.

And of course I am aware of the many downsides to Governor Christie. But he knew the political game and he knew who was who.
