Mexico’s defense minister said Monday that the nation has deployed nearly 15,000 troops to its northern border to increase border enforcement.

If this is true, Mexico has declared war on the drug cartels, and if that happens and they really apply pressure, they will have more than paid for the wall.

Can you imagine cutting the drug supply and human trafficking through Mexico by a significant amount?

The short and long term results would be more that any 700 miles of wall could produce in a year.

Close the air and sea traffic to Mexico. Dry up the tourist business. Then, take aim at the cartels.

Side note - the cartels are now in 40-50 other countries
