PRESIDENT TRUMP ANNOUNCES NEW SANCTIONS ON IRAN
As of this writing the totality of the American response to Iran’s shooting down of an American drone is still vague and, to me, a bit confusing.
For now, know that the situation will be dealt with.
Will be keeping eyes and ears open.
SEVEN MARINE MOTORCYCLISTS KILLED IN HORRIFIC TRUCK ACCIDENT.
I was married to a Baltimore city cop. He was a motorcycle cop, patrolled Baltimore’s Jones Falls Expressway. At any rate, he belonged to a motorcycle group called “The Blue Knights”, motorcyclists who were cops.
Thus I was especially horrified to learn about this accident in Massachusetts that caused the death of 7 motorcycling marines.

HERE Volodymyr Zhukovskyy, Massachusetts driver involved in New Hampshire crash that left 7 people dead, arrested on negligent homicide charges
The driver involved in a New Hampshire crash that left seven motorcycle riders dead was arrested at his Massachusetts home Monday.
Volodymyr Zhukovskyy, 23, was arrested on a fugitive from justice charge by Massachusetts State Police troopers at 90 Newbridge St. in West Springfield, according to New Hampshire authorities.
An arrest warrant was issued in New Hampshire Monday, charging Zhukovskyy with seven counts of negligent homicide.
The charges are in connection with the horrific crash Friday in Randolph, New Hampshire.
Massachusetts State Police said troopers also “located in the defendant’s residence wax packets containing a residue suspected of being heroin." He has not been charged with a drug offense at this time, but authorities will test the residue at the State Crime Lab, state police said.
If the residue tests positive for drugs, Zhukovskyy will face charges, state police said. A husband and wife from Lakeville, Massachusetts, were among the seven people killed in the Friday night crash.
Joanne and Edward Corr, both 58, of Lakeville, who were riding together on one bike died in the crash that took the lives of seven members of the Jarheads MC, a motorcycle club made up of U.S. Marine Corps veterans and their spouses, said Jane Young, New Hampshire Deputy Attorney General. false

There’s been lots of speculation about how this accident occurred. The heroin was probably part of the issue. I’ve seen social media scuttlebutt that asserts that the driver’s flat bed truck jack-knifed with the truck bed swinging around in the path of the motorcyclists.
There was no way they could avoid it, so goes the speculation.

JUST A LITTLE POLITICAL MISCELLANY
I noticed when George Stephanopoulos interviewed President Trump, most times Trump stood very obviously way taller than little George.
But at times Trump was sitting at his desk while George stood next to it. Giving little George a sort of dominance.
I bet they think these things through in advance. “I will STAND next to you,” Trump might say. “But you can stand next to me at my desk,” Trump would offer, so little George doesn’t look small throughout the entire interview.

- President Trump said, during his interview with Chuck Todd (who he sat next to during the entire interview) that the biggest mistake of his presidency to date, was what he called “personnel issues”. “Jeff Sessions,” Trump then stated, firmly.
Man, what a mistake THAT was. If I had one, rather minor, criticism of Trump, it’s that he fell completely for Sessions’ adoration during the campaign. Then he appointed Sessions AG when first thing Sessions recuses himself from the Mueller probe, recuses himself without even consulting with Trump first.
Or could be my original supposition, that the Mueller people had something on Sessions and said if recused they’d keep it secret.

A FEW ODDS AND ENDS
Most of the news of the day today is about news that’s coming soon.
This week there will be the Democratic debates. My mind reels. Biden? Buttigieg? Warren? So far I’ve counted 24 candidates for the Democratic nominee. Of course they all won’t debate. There are rules regarding money collected and popularity.
Anyway, this political junkIe will be paying attention.
Also a couple of important Supreme court decisions are due soon. The most important one is that bit about asking if a census taker is a citizen. That judge on Fox news says he thinks the court will rule that it’s a permissible question. Something the Democrats do not want.
Judge Napolitano is almost always wrong so don’t take his word for it.
Finally, the woman who accused President Trump of raping her in a Berghdorf ritzy dressing room changed her tune during a CNN interview.
Dumb bitch is selling a book and now she says, I am not making this up, that rape is fun.

I have my granddaughter with me for a few days so entries might skimp.
As it is, indeed ole honest perfect FBI guy Mueller is set to testify before the House on 7/17/19.
This is yet another bite of the apple.
Guy spends millions, spends two years, to find somebody….ANYBODY…. from Russia who ever spoke to a Trump campaign aid, or Trump’s vet’s dog, or Melania’s hairdresser….and now congress is going to interview him?
That’s about three weeks away. My mind boggles at the prospect. The Democrats are going to regret this.
In addition, money was allocated to better care for the children being held at the border.
Congress could fix this immigration problem immediately.
The only thing that will stop the Democrats is for them to be roundly defeated in the next election.
But you know what? Maybe they won’t be. Maybe the Democrats continue with their current destructive and defeatist behavior. Maybe America will elect a Democrat president, add more reps to the House, maybe an additional senator.
When that happens I will bow to the will of the majority although I won’t like it.
Wish the Democrats would do that same now.

Couple of kinda stupid items.
….What did Lazarus do?
What was his wonderful action that had Jesus raising him from the dead?
Because at times, I hesitate to admit so publicly, I hear someone tell me that Jesus , or God, helped them through a very tough time. And at times, when in a bad mood perhaps, I think…”If God really wanted to help you through your tribulations, He’d keep them from happening to begin with. “
Snarky, I know. And not very holy of me.
But if the prevailing theory as used by God is that life must be lived and, from time to time, I will help you along….then what did Lazarus do to deserve being raised from the dead?
Perhaps Lazarus was a very good man. But so am I a reasonably good person. So are we all. I am sure that Lazarus was not perfect.
Is there some kind of lottery to get raised from the dead?
I probably lost any chance I had for resurrection just by writing the above.
At the least I could be kicked off by Google.

……Fast Food Coupons
I made a major decision that I will share with yon readers.
Fast food coupons are a waste of time.
Indeed, so are many restaurant coupons but they may bring a higher return.
I started saving fast food type coupons because I noticed that one could save a buck or more on a sandwich. For a sandwich that costs $5.00 bucks, that’s a savings of 20%. Of course they all have expiration dates and are generally tiny, needing strained aging eyes to cut with sharp scissors.
So I get to the Burger King and pull out my pile of delicately saved coupons. First, one may only use ONE such coupon on a meal trip. So if I have a coupon for a buck off two hamburgers, half price for the fish sandwich, and free coke….well I can only use one.
And if I really wanted a bacon whopper but had no coupon for same….a few times I purchased what the coupon was for but really didn’t like that I couldn’t get what I really like. That’s how fast food restaurants are, anyhow, to me. I might like a whopper with cheese from Burger King, the French fries at Arby’s, …..and it kind of takes the joy out of it.
For a dollar?
My verdict is fast food restaurant coupons aren’t worth all the work.
Restaurant coupons often offer a percentage off the price of a meal. But they too might limit the food to salmon or fried chicken, when it is steak from that place you like

IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MIGHTY DEMOCRAT debates
I did not watch the Democrat debate last night but I did hear enough sound bytes etc. to ascertain the gist of it all.
Free college tuition. No walls at our borders. 75% tax rates for the rich. Everything is Donald Trump’s fault. The Russians are coming.

Scuttlebutt seems to be that Elizabeth Warren, also known as Fauxcahontas, performed the best.
Corey Booker seemed to shine a bit as I saw it.
BUT WHAT THE HELL WAS WITH THE SPANISH?
Tells me all I need to know. They actually, on American television, spoke Spanish that few native born Americans understand.
How dumb was this?
Tonight the remaining candidates will engage in debates, to include good ole Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders.
Tonight I intend to listen to the debates and hey, I can’t wait.
SUPREME COURT DECISIONS
I am not too familiar with gerrymandering as it is mostly a political thing. More on this later. In fact, the ruling on two cases involving gerrymandering were released by the Supreme court. The court decided that gerrymandering is a political matter and does not deserve to be heard before a federal court.
Okay, I know a bit about the fine state of Merryland. Baltimore and Prince George’s county are near to Washington D.C., home of many politicos and public workers. Anne Arundel county, where I lived, Baltimore and Howard counties, for example, are more conservative.
So the politicos sat down with some crayons and drew “districts” that would get them votes. Conservatives love Anne Arundel county….as do I. Liberals adore Prince George county, which I despise. With their beloved crayons they draw up districts to suit their election needs.
As I am to understand it, the Supreme court has ruled that this is a political action and not worthy of judgment on the SC.
This is probably a good outcome because the less the SC rules on political matters rather than their REAL job of interpreting the constitution can only be a good thing.
The citizens will have to stop the politicos and their crazy crayons is how I see it.
As for the infamous citizen question on the 2020 cercus, I sort of understand. First I listened to the very intelligent and wonderful Judge Napolitano on Fox, WHO IS ALWAYS WRONG WHY DO THEY KEEP THIS GUY?....He says that this is a defeat for the Trump administration no doubt.
It is not.
Again, it is not.
No, it’s not a victory for the Trump administration and I am no judge by all means.
The SC ruled that new evidence has been obtained and the decision will be returned to the lower court.
Why is it wrong to ask people living in America, as is asked every ten years per the constitution, if they are citizens?
That’s my question but for now, the decision has been moved to lower courts.
I think there was some kind of plan for this case.
More on this later in the week.

TIME FOR EDITORIAL POLITICS BY PAT
I couldn’t come up with a subject for which the world needed my opinion.
At least for today. Soon enough another opinion will fill my brain.
So allow me to insert a rant.
Yes I am a social media writer. I have several Blogs, post on many sites as commenter. I make a nuisance of myself in general some might say.
We need to have a new law on social media. Dear Lord don’t tell congress. Keep them the hell out of it. And no Google, Facebook or other big web sites don’t belong.
It’s about abbreviations. Such as LOL. Or ROFL. Or LMAO. We all know these abbreviations and have used them for many years.
But please, people, DO NOT ASSUME THAT READERS UNDERSTAND THAT WHICH YOU ABBREVIATE!!!
Once we establish a social media governing board, with me as the Peoples’ Scribe, we will document acceptable abbreviations and unacceptable.
Here is my first proposed social media “law”. You may use abbreviations in a Blog of comment post that are not widely known BUT….here’s the rule:
You must spell out that which you wish to abbreviate in a post but you must, FIRST, type out the phrase you wish to shorten.
So if I speak of the Supreme Court….I must first use the entire phrase…SUPREME COURT. After, for the rest of the post you may use SC for the term and rightfully expect your reader to know what SC stands for.
But if I suddenly see a phrase such as TCPNP….hey, I don’t know what the hell that stands for.
IF you happen to be posting about crime or incident that occurred north of Philadelphia, it is NOT okay to refer to what is “the commonwealth of Pennsylvania near Philadelphia”.. OR TCPNP.
Now if you should at first type out that absurd phrase (which I doubt anybody would use but I use hyperbole to make my point), it is okay to shorten for the rest of the message.
Use common sense. Because if your reader knows not of what you type, you are wasting your time even bothering to post.
That’s my rant and that’s my new social media rule.

ONE FATAL MISTAKE MADE BY DEMOCRATIC CONTENDERS FOR PRESIDENTIAL NOMINEE
Let us begin with some facts. Kamala Harris is like half-Jamaican and half-Indian. She might look darker than most Caucasians but she’s NOT black. Black as described as someone of African descent.
Yet she tells this sad sob story to Joe Biden about being a black kid bussed from New York to Atlanta every school morning, sobbing in misery and pain.
Turns out Kamala was too old to have been affected by school bussing. Ah, I remember it well. Children were to be bussed OUT of the ghetto to the rich area and the rich kids were going be bussed to the ghetto. I believe such a silly thing was tried out in several school districts in the country but it didn’t last.
Just another dumb Democratic idea.
But more than anything on that Democratic debate last night, 6/27/19 was the fatal error made by all contenders on stage.
The request was to raise a hand if the hand-owner believed that all illegal immigrants should be given free health care.
THEY ALL RAISED THEIR HANDS!!!
Nobody tell them, please, that Americans do NOT want this. Indeed it is one major thing that Americans have AGAINST illegal aliens. We all struggle with co-pays, deductibles, the not-covered. And illegal aliens should get free health care?
Note, the question did NOT say “emergency” health care. It was abrupt….”free health care”.
Now if the hand-raisers were raising affirmative because they didn’t want human beings denied emergency health care just for not being American, they should have had to courage to NOT raise their damn hand. If they wanted the free health care qualified is some way, well they didn’t do too much thinking about it.
It was a circus folks. This current crop of would-be Democratic nominees are extremely left wing, un-American. The older ones with some experience are now senile, Communists or nuts.
