In 1991 Keane saved the life of David Petraeus during a live fire exercise. According to Keane, Petraeus was shot "accidentally, standing right next to me, and I had to fight to save his life. He had a hole about the size of a quarter in his back and is gushing with blood, and we stopped the bleeding and got him on a helicopter and got him to a surgeon and so we were sort of bonded ever since that time."

Trump swallowed some more Kim-Chi.

I don’t think he’s here for the hunting, as the old joke goes.

Nixon made a point of keeping the State Dept. out of the loop in serious foreign negotiations, knowing their propensity to screw up a wet dream and rightly so.

The Norks have to make some serious concessions to get sanctions removed and we have to respond in kind, but there must be a means to verify their concessions, trust but verify type conditions. They want us out of the South, fine, I say we get out, but the nukes have to go if we agree and should they continue this game, it’s time to play the nuclear Japan card which will send them and the Chicoms into duck fits.

If Keane had his way, we’d all be dead 150 times already.

I realize most of these type folks have much more inside information than I do but I realize they are wrong as much of the time as I am. We are living in an age we put to much dependence in opinions. To be mostly honest I wonder some time who is more correct informed Opinions or what when we form our opinion on reasoning. I have agreed quite often with Presidents that had opinions and most of them were wrong such as Iraq and their weapons of mass destruction. If we took as good of care of those we send off to fight out wars as we do politicians we may think more honestly!

In the past there were dictators that I didn’t think we should talk to. It wasn’t so much the idea of talking, as who would be the person representing our side.

Compare Obama talking with Iran, to Trump’s talking to North Korea. The difference is clear to most thinking people.

Those that can’t see it, need to think long and hard.

Trump has a goal, and he’s not going to be talked down.

Excellent.

Q: “What kind of stupid diplomat makes confident predictions about future events over which he has no control?”

A: Every kind. It’s in their job description. As with MSM and experts regarding the economy before DJT was elected: Here’s an excerpt from Nov. 1 2016 NYT:

“The conventional wisdom is that, right off the bat, the stock market would fall precipitously. Simon Johnson, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology economist, posited that Mr. Trump’s presidency would “likely cause the stock market to crash and plunge the world into recession.” He predicted that Mr. Trump’s “anti-trade policies would cause a sharp slowdown, much like the British are experiencing” after their vote to exit the European Union.

In explaining his prediction, Professor Johnson wrote that Europe’s economy is so fragile that “Trump’s trade-led recession would tip Europe back into full-blown recession, which would likely precipitate a serious banking crisis.” After that, he continued: “If this risk were not contained — and the probability of a European banking debacle is already disconcertingly high — there would be a further negative spiral. Either way, the effects on emerging markets and all lower-income countries would be dramatic.”

I think you are wrong.

I've seen him on FOX and while I don't always agree with him, I've never gotten the impression that he is a never Trumper.

I don't know that with life betting certainty.

Fine. Saved a guy who shot during an exercise . I do not trust him if he ever was promoted under Obama’s administration.

The diplomats work for Trump. They’ll do what he decides, or they can go seek employment elsewhere.

Kim has been told that Trump is going to gone shortly so it is in Kim’s interest to stall.

President Trump’s meeting with Kim had more to do with letting Dear Leader know that Donald Trump was going to be President of the United States for a long time to come, regardless of what Kim is being told .

President Trump could really use an agreement with Kim in the near future so Kim has pretty much the most leverage and goodwill that he will ever have to cut a deal

If Kim continues to stall in hopes of sabotaging President Trumps re-election, the spirit of goodwill will evaporate and any leverage he has to cut a deal will be lost.

President Trump is not known for extending goodwill to people who try to screw him

We don’t get paid for our opinions nor do we have to be quoted to feel good like this clown and similar clowns.

IF the electorate of the U.S.A. reads, and applies brainwork to what they read as do a multitude of FReepers winning the upcoming elections is doubtful.

Retired Gen. Kane is confident the same perverted scum he catered to while on active duty will continue to behave like the perverted scum they are.

Yeah, and I'm sure the sun will rise in the East tomorrow.
