Trump Celebrates Amash Leaving GOP

President Trump celebrated Rep. Justin Amash leaving the Republican Party on Thursday, saying the Michigan lawmaker’s departure was “great news.”

“Great news for the Republican Party as one of the dumbest & most disloyal men in Congress is “quitting” the Party,” the president tweeted. “No Collusion, No Obstruction! Knew he couldn’t get the nomination to run again in the Great State of Michigan. Already being challenged for his seat. A total loser!”

Great news for the Republican Party as one of the dumbest & most disloyal men in Congress is “quitting” the Party. No Collusion, No Obstruction! Knew he couldn’t get the nomination to run again in the Great State of Michigan. Already being challenged for his seat. A total loser!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 4, 2019

Amash’s decision to leave the party was not surprising, given that he’d called for Trump’s impeachment and had already left the House Freedom Caucus.

Today, I’m declaring my independence.https://t.co/4e5TeVtGRK— Justin Amash (@justinamash) July 4, 2019

“Today, I am declaring my independence and leaving the Republican Party,” Amash wrote in an op-ed for The Washington Post on Independence Day. “No matter your circumstance, I’m asking you to join me in rejecting the partisan loyalties and rhetoric that divide and dehumanize us. I’m asking you to believe that we can do better than this two-party system — and to work toward it. If we continue to take America for granted, we will lose it.”

Poor dumb @justinamash chooses July 4 to declare his “independence” from the GOP. As if the GOP has been holding him captive! He joined voluntarily and he’s leaving by choice. This is like me declaring my “independence” from my United airline lounge membership. How brave of me!— Dinesh D'Souza (@DineshDSouza) July 4, 2019

As Matt reported on Thursday, Amash’s decision may not be simply about principles, as the lawmaker is facing a tough primary challenge back in Michigan, with his opponent ahead of him by 16 points, according to one recent survey.

Now to get rid of the rest of the Bush League Republicans, starting with Flimsey Grahamnesty.

Bush League Republicans want to help the Democrats get a permanent majority through amnesty.

For 2020, the ones up are, Flimsey Grahamnesty, Tillis, Gardner, McSally, Daines, Collins, Cornyn, Capito, Enzi, Rounds, Sasse, Hyde-Smith, Ernst and McConnell.
They all should have primary challengers.

They are all Bush League Republicans.
They need to be replaced with real Republicans that side with the citizens and the rule of law.

The only ones worthy of re-election are Inhofe, Sullivan, Cotton, Perdue, Risch and Cassidy.

Losers like this have a short shelf life. Our local upstate Congressman shunned Trump in 2018, his challenger squeaked by as the GOP wasn't energized to get to the polls to support a RINO.

I assume that Amash has been removed from all committees and sub-committees?

Anna Timmer deserves credit for this scalp. If she hadn’t confronted him at his townhall meeting the world would not know what a turd he is.

Shows what one brave individual can do to impact the political landscape.

I wouldn’t assume this considering how limp wristed the republicans are. Even the more conservative members didn’t force this guy to resign his seat or his committees at the least when he first turned into a traitor.

Is he planning on returning the political contributions that he received because he was a member of the GOP? Now THAT would be putting his money where his mouth is.

I’d like to have that confirmed. Does anyone here know if that’s the case?

Type “Anna Timmer” into your search engine.

Took less than 1 minute to find and read about her.

I would never advise anyone to “google” but if you do a short search on Anna Timmer, you will find at least one GREAT video of her (at an Amash townhall) and why Amash won’t be representing her district in the future, Jesse Watters interviews Anna on his show on FNC!

She’s a great example of a good education (whether she got it from her local commie NEA or not) of what our government elected leaders owe to their constituents rather than vice versa!

Kevin McCarthy is a veritable Rock of Gibraltar and I’m sure he’ll do the right thing regarding Amash

Oops, wrong picture of McCarthy.
