It would make some sense to vet returning enemy soldiers, on a case-by-case basis. Maybe they could once again become loyal and productive citizens.

But only once the war is over! We are still in the early stages of the 'Islam vs. Everyone Else' war. Letting that ISIS convert in now would be like letting an SS camp guard in during WWII.

Both that ISIS convert and that SS guard belong in the same place. At the bottom of some deep dungeon of some castle somewhere.
