Washington is a "shall issue" state when it comes to CCW, in spite of the leftist destruction in Seattle and Olympia.
Back in the 70's, I was renewing my permit at the Tacoma cop shop when an over officious jackass LEO tried to hassle me about my reasons for carrying concealed. I told him it was for sport and protection, and he had no right to refuse my renewal, in spite of my long hair and leather jacket.
