The Associated Press found that the wealthy financier's donations included $15,000 to the exclusive Hewitt School on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, $35,000 to the Junior Tennis Champions Center in College Park, Maryland, and $25,000 to the Ecole du Bel-Air grade school in Haiti — all after he pleaded guilty in 2008 to charges of soliciting a minor for prostitution.
Epstein's donations through his charitable foundations, though not in violation of his status as a sex offender, were nonetheless awkward for some recipients. They were also, at times, difficult to trace.
It wasn't until later, when they realized a sex offender was behind the donations, that the school, the tennis center and the Haiti project returned the money.
It's not clear why Epstein, who taught calculus and physics at Manhattan's coed Dalton School in the 1970s, singled out the Hewitt School for the 2016 gift. Administrators at the 500-student school responded to questions by saying only that it immediately gave the money back after learning of the Epstein connection several months ago.

Is this “minor” offense actually a minor offense? If it’s involving a young woman unmistakably past puberty, we have a problem that is as much a factor of our modern attitudes towards prolonging childhood, as it is of “pedophilia.” Go easy on the guy if that’s his sole incident of vice. He might even be trying to make it up by benefiting the girls’ school. Sometimes we can get as badly underfoot with God as cats can get under our feet.
Well... I re-read, and if it’s prostitution it’s bad no matter what the age. That shouldn’t be winked at. Prostitution’s victims are many. But we have a common issue in our modern society that we also infantilize our kids. Somewhere in this picture there should be room for balanced wisdom and sanity.
Anyhow I still think it not necessarily wrong that he’d be moved to try to make it up by donating to a girls’ school. Perhaps it ought to be even for the purpose of teaching them to be wary of getting involved in prostitution, which spreads so much woe.
With all the #metoo scandals, it isn’t exactly the clearest skies for a witness against the men involved in what, yes, looked really, really suspicious. If the females could be located, still we’d need a credible report from them, and #metoo made it harder.
We really need the power behind conscience to come back to the USA, and that was God. Without that, we will see a lot of these officially unsolved woes that are still throwing up red flags all over the place.
Or Epstein and Clinton were paying first to obtain sweet little benefits.
Clinton earned a reputation as a lust fiend. How we wish he had only lusted in his heart, like Jimmy Carter had.
... but anyhow, at least now he definitely has feet of clay that can’t be denied, and his party has now leaned the other way on the lust issue. Blind squirrel, welcome to the acorn.

Do you mean Biden? Because there is no evidence that Epstein was engaging in sex with prepubescent teens. Most of the girls that have come forward were 16 or older, which would make them legal for sex in most states.
