The DeSantis record: Bold promises clash with cold reality [Whiny Media!]

Ron DeSantis kept his word: He’s the boldest Florida governor since Jeb Bush two decades ago. That’s why we’re so worried.

After six months in office, he has lived up to the rhetoric of his Jan. 8 inaugural address: “I will lead with purpose and conviction.”

But lead how? If the 2018 election proved anything, it’s that Florida is more closely divided than ever, and that should translate into a nonpartisan style of governing to lessen the extreme polarization in this deep purple state. It means honoring the public will, respecting all sides and protecting Florida’s fragile environment all the time, not sometimes. Frankly, Ron has been a bit of a mixed bag for me. But he is a military man, I assume he is playing the long game.

But knowing the hacks at SS are gritting their teeth over him makes me feel better.

So you agree with the article. And what’s with the double excerpt? The double excerpt. excerpt.

Same call for “bipartisan” from the left whenever they lose.
If Gillum won, it would be full-on Prog Leftism with a, “we won, deal with it” smirk.
Screw em.
Gov should do what he said he would do during the election.
Thats what people voted for.

There is no non-partisan style of government to the left.

It's either their way or the highway.

What this dimwit really means is the Governor should move extreme left to keep the peace.

DeSantis is a breath of fresh air in Florida. Like Tump, doing what he promised during his campaign.

Just getting rid of that liberal vote counter/cheater in Broward County and firing the political hack sheriff, was enough to convince me he means business.

Finally, a politician with some balls.

No, way, Eric Swalwell was bold without the bold!

No one can beat that, not even my man, Jebidiah, the Bush.

Yeah, we missed having a gangsta’ rappa’ in the governor’s mansion by 32,000 out of 8 million votes.

A better governor than a candidate. He was great when hurricanes hit. He was a squish on Schiavo.

DeSantis is doing a good job so far. Thank goodness we managed to turn back Gollum despite the tens of millions out of state billionaires like Tom Steyer, George Soros and Michael Bloomberg poured into the race.

Don’t forget signing the state’s pre-emption law.

ie. NO Miami, you will NOT be doing any gun grabbing. Tough chit. We don’t care if you don’t like it.

that should translate into a nonpartisan style of governing

Unless, of course, the governor should be a far left SocialDemocrat.
