New legislation put forward by Central Coast Rep. Jimmy Panetta would give immigration judges more leeway not to order the deportation of asylum seekers who fail to show up for a hearing.

Introduced Friday by Panetta, D-Carmel Valley, the Providing Justice for Asylum Seekers Act would give judges the discretion to consider factors such as whether notification was sent to an out-of-date address and the asylum seeker’s history of checking in with immigration officials.

Illegal immigrants already get out of jail free (cut and release). There is no equal protection under the law anymore.

give judges the discretion to consider factors such as whether notification was sent to an out-of-date address...

Wouldn’t any address they give be out of date?

Just what we need. Another way to circumvent our immigration legal system.

I think this pol needs to be deported and have his citizenship revoked for life. He is working against us; not for us. He’s working for the law breakers. Not us.

I thought we got rid of one Panetta. Now we have another Panetta doofus.

I remember when Leon Panetta and George Mitchell snookered the first Bush to raise taxes and ultimately got him unelected and Clinton elected.

One of Leon Panetta’s top mentors was secret Communist Party USA member/Rep. Hugh DeLacy, yet Panetta left this out in his autobiography. Wonder why?

“Worthy Fights: A memoir of leadership in war and peace”, Leon Panetta with Jim Newton, Penguin Press, NY, 2014.

IN FACT, DeLacey’s name DOESN’T SHOW UP IN THE BOOK’S INDEX AT ALL. I smell a rat, a big fat communist sympathizing rat.

Doubt this will make past the Senate. Assuming it makes it to the Senate.

So many people are out to thwart whatever Trump tries to do to get control of this invasion. It’s unreal.

The Dems have completely reversed their position on border security and enforcement of immigration laws. They’ve made a very bad choice in the pursuit of raw power and control.
